Judge Xi Xiangyang
Judge Xi Xiangyang was appointed as a judge of the Supreme People’s Court by the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress in 2006 and now works at the Fourth Civil Division and the China International Commercial Court. He was appointed as a judge of Shenzhen Intermediate Court in 1994. Xi has dealt with thousands of cases, of which most are international commercial cases. He also took part in drafting of several international documents under sponsorship of UNCITRAL and HCCH.
He graduated with a bachelor degree of law from the Southwest University of Political Science and Law in 1989, a master degree of civil and commercial law from Renmin University in 1992 and received his M.A.(International and comparative legal study) with distinction from SOAS, University of London, in 2002.
