Chin Leng LIM

Chin Leng Lim is the Choh-Ming Li Professor of Law at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, an associé of the Institut de droit international, visiting professor at King’s College London, honorary senior fellow of the British Institute of International and Comparative Law and an editor of the I.C.L.Q.

 

Some of his publications include the Cambridge Companion to International Arbitration (Cambridge University Press, 2021) and Lim, Ho and Paparinskis, International Investment Law and Arbitration (Cambridge University Press, 2d. ed., 2021).

 

He has lectured at amongst other places the Hague Academy of International Law, and as the Lionel A. Sheridan Visiting Professor at NUS in Singapore.

 

He is appointed to the European Commission’s list of chairpersons for disputes under the EU's bilateral free trade agreements and had served three terms on a committee advising the HK Commerce Secretary.

 

He practises from Keating Chambers, London, and has acted as counsel, arbitrator, or expert in various arbitrations conducted under the ICC, UNCITRAL, HKIAC, LCIA and SIAC rules, and he has been nominated to act as presiding arbitrator, co-arbitrator, and sole arbitrator by parties and institutions such as the PCA.

 

Chin is currently a member of the ICC/UNIDROIT Working Group on International Investment Contracts.
