Neil Kaplan CBE KC SBS
Since 1965, Neil has practised as a barrister, Principal Crown Counsel at the Hong Kong Attorney General’s Chambers, Queen’s Counsel in Hong Kong and served as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Hong Kong in charge of the Construction and Arbitration List.
Neil has been a full-time practising arbitrator since 1995. During this period, he has been involved in several hundred arbitrations. These arbitrations have included a wide range of commercial, infrastructural and investment treaty disputes.
Neil has published a number of books and articles. His latest book with Chiann Bao is “So Now You Are an Arbitrator: The Arbitrator’s Toolkit”. Neil has been President of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Chair of HKIAC. He is currently a judge in Bahrain.
